George Harry Redington (1951-2019)

George Harry Redington, 68, passed away in Ellinwood, Kan. Nov. 16, 2019. Born Jan. 17, 1951 in Bismark, N.D., he was the son of Jonathan and Lora (Bronsak) Redington. 
George served in the Army National Guard from 1971-1977. He married Lindell Gartner in Bismark, N.D. June 12, 1971. George was a graduate of Minot State University (1974), and Dallas Theological Seminary (1983) where he earned his Master of Theology. He was a resident of Bismark, N.D. from 1957-1979. 
George served as a Pastor from 1983-2019. He served churches in Lodi, Calif., Calgary, Alberta, Ellinwood, Hudson, Lorraine and St. John, Kan.
Survivors include wife, Lindell Redington, Ellinwood, Kan.; daughter, Eva Bleeker (Josh), Castle Rock, Colo.; son, Luke Redington (Rose), Hampden, Maine; brothers, Bruce Redington., West Fargo, N.D., Lee Redington, Parker, Colo., and Dean Redington, Minot, N.D.; and sister, Kay Brock, Bismark, N.D.  
He was preceded in death by his parents. 
A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 21) at First Baptist Church in Lorraine, Kan. with Pastor Zachary Ullom officiating.
Memorials are suggested to Dallas Theological Seminary in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, Kan. 67526. 
A private family interment preceded the service.
