Jimmy Joe Morris, 75, of Kanopolis, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 in Beloit, Kan. Jimmy was born Aug. 3, 1943 in Kanopolis to Louis Henry and Georgia Esther (LeGrand) Morris. He was a lifelong resident of Kanopolis. Jimmy was a retired truck driver. He was baptized at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Kanopolis.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Fred Morris, Larry Morris and Jean Libby; and his daughter, Pamela Swindler.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 30 years, Vicki, of the home; four children, LeAnn (Darrell) Ploutz, Bret (Betsy) Morris, Becky (John) Bailey and Lance ‘Shab’ (Valerie) Morris; stepsons, Ross Buchanan and Wade Buchanan; stepdaughter Lacy Shirley; eight grandchildren: Ashley (Lucas) Fulton, Andrew Ploutz, Tyler (Keegan) Bailey, Kristofer (Tara) Bailey, Kaley (RJ) Schnack, Ryan Rodriguez, Kaleb Morris and Braden Morris; seven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Isabell Bailey, Savannah Bailey and Cooper Bailey; son-in-law, Dale Swindler and his three beloved dogs.
The memorial graveside service is at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5 at Kanopolis Cemetery.
