Karen Marie Larsen (1941-2020)

Karen Marie Larsen, 78, of Salina, passed away at Presbyterian Manor  Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, as a result of complications from diverticulitis. She was born Nov. 17, 1941 in Ellsworth, Kan.

Karen graduated from Vesper High School in 1959 and attended K-State for a short time. She then went on to work for Southwestern Bell later to become AT&T. She spent most of her adult life in St. Louis, Mo. working for and retiring from AT&T. Karen moved to Salina several months ago and attended St. Mary’s until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Carrie (Louder) Larsen.

Survivors include her brother, Marvin Larsen and his wife Carole of Ellsworth, Kan.; nephews, Matthew Larsen of Lawrence, Kan., David Larsen and his wife Julie of Gardener, Kan., Adam Larsen of Russell, Kan.; great-niece, Molly Larsen and great-nephew Max Larsen. She will be missed by her family and friends. 

A graveside service per Karen’s request will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9 in Denmark, Kan. at The Free Mission Cemetery.

A light luncheon and visitation will follow at the Denmark Hall.
