Kenneth Neil Allen (1946-2019)

Kenneth Neil Allen, 72, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Central Texas Veterans Health Care in Waco, Texas.
Kenneth was born Oct. 29, 1946 in Ransom, Kan. with a sister twin, (Kay, Kay) Karen Kayn Allen, the son of Hillard Grant and Ruth (Wallace) Allen.
He attended West High School in Wichita, Kan. Kenneth joined the Navy, Aug. 12, 1964, at USNTC, San Diego, Calif. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from Aug, 12, 1964 to May 2, 1986. He was awarded the National Defense Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze service stars, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea). E-6 Petty Officer, Kenneth Neil Allen retired at NAS Kingsville, Texas.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Betty Allen; brothers, Donald Dee Allen, Harold Dean Allen, Roger Wallace Allen, and Duane Grant Allen.
Survivors include brothers, Michael Ray Allen of Tecumseh, Kan. and Allen Dale Hudson of Abilene, Kan.; sisters, Ruth Eloise Oriez of Lindsborg, Kan., Donna Mae Davis of Ellsworth, Kan., and Janice Perkins of Lorraine, Kan.; step-children, Kay Farquhar of Itasca, Texas, Peggy Hawks of Ft. Worth, Texas, Brenda Stotts of Joshua, Texas, Sonny Merritt of Hillsboro, Texas, Johnnie Jones of Hillsboro, Texas and Sally Price of Whitney, Texas.
Funeral services were Friday, July 12 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Committal service with full Military Honors was Monday, July 15 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
