Nina Marie Borgstadter (1938-2019)

Nina Marie Borgstadter, 80, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Manhattan.
She was born Oct. 2, 1938 in Lincoln County to Reinhold and Selma (Schultz) Kohls.
Nina was a longtime resident of Ellsworth, where she worked for USD 327 in food service and as a bus driver. She was a faithful member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Ellsworth her entire life. As an active member of LWML she held a variety of offices. She served as LWML officer at the local, district, and regional levels.
She was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed sewing clothes for her children, grandchildren, and others in the community.
Nina is survived by her daughter, Angela Kohls of Manhattan; son, Darin Borgstadter (Holly) of Salem, Ore.; daughter, Valerie Nixon (Dale) of Prineville, Ore.; grandchildren, Joshua Kohls, Kaitlyn Nixon, Dallen Nixon, Stetson Galloway, and Fred Galloway; and sisters, Deniece Roth and Lee Kohls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
Visitation: will be from 1-8 p.m. Monday, July 15, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ellsworth. Burial will follow the service in Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church LWML, c/o, Parsons Funeral Home, Box 45, Ellsworth, Kan. 67439.
