Randall Jay Dumler (1961-2020)

Randall Jay Dumler, 58, died March 21, 2020 at his home in Hoisington. He was born Sept. 14, 1961 in Ellsworth, Kan., the son of Donald and Marilyn (Kruger) Dumler.  
Randy graduated from Sterling High School and then attended Hutchinson Community College and St. Johns College in Winfield.
A longtime resident of Hoisington, Randy worked as a valve assembler for Cashco for 30 years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Randy was an avid fisherman, cook, and gardener. He loved to travel and spending time with his family, especially having sleepovers with the grandchildren.
On Sept. 25, 1999, he married Mary Smith in Hoisington, Kan. 
He is survived by his wife Mary Dumler of the home; his mother, Marilyn K. Dumler of Ellsworth; siblings, Jan Thorne and partner Gary Wallert of Ellsworth, Donald Dumler of Omaha, Neb., Karla Bennett and husband Jeff of Sterling; children, Nicholas Lomas and wife Annie of Hoisington, Alexander Lomas and wife Stephanie of Hoisington, Erik Simpson of Great Bend, and Connie Graffia and husband Sammy of Great Bend; grandchildren, Braden Konzem, Peyton and Paislee Lomas, Chloe and Allisyn Westphal, and Gage Graffia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gene Dumler.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with family present from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Anselm Eke. Due to restrictions set forth by the Catholic Dioceses of Dodge City, services will be private. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Hoisington.
