Ruth M. Fleming (1955-2020)

Ruth M. Fleming, 64, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020, in Wichita. She was born April 27, 1955 in Ellsworth, the daughter of David L. and Thelma M. (Keehner) Fleming.

Ruth was a longtime resident of Lorraine where she was a ward clerk and CNA at Ellsworth County Medical Center. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Lorraine.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Unruh (Jeromy) of Park City; grandchildren, Logan and Kale Unruh; brothers, Jim Fleming (Jane) of Lindsborg, Max Fleming (Pam) of Holyrood, Paul Fleming (Doyne) of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Robert Fleming (Nancy) of Wichita; sister, Edith Fleming of Salina; and five nieces and five nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Thelma Fleming.

Visitation is from 1-8 p.m., Thursday, March 19, with the family present from 1-3 p.m. at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.

A private family funeral service will take place at First Baptist Church, Lorraine. Private burial will be at Buckeye Cemetery, rural Ellsworth County.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church–Lorraine or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of Parsons Funeral Home, Box 45, Ellsworth, Kan. 67439.
