Zona Mary Homeier (1923-2019)

Zona Mary Homeier, 96, of Wilson, Kan., passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2019.
Zona was born in Rural Osborne County, Kansas Sept. 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Guela Louise (Westphall) and Harry Americus McReynolds.
Survivors include two daughters, LaNita Pratt (Jim), of Salina, Kan. and Susan Homeier, of Ellsworth, Kan.; three sons, Richard Homeier (Cathy), of Fort Collins, Colo.,  Raymond Homeier (Mary Ann), of Wilson, and Dale Homeier (Carmen), of Wilson; three sisters, LaVona Ruark of Sterling, Colo., Evelyn Ray of Inman, Kan., Lois Hickey of Inman; and brother, Wayne McReynolds, Manhattan, Kan. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand Erich Homeier; two sisters, Velda Brooks, Betty Duryee; three brothers, Carl McReynolds, Ralph McReynolds, Harry McReynolds Jr.; and grandson, Kevin Homeier.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wilson.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wilson. Inurnment will follow at Wilson City Cemetery, Wilson.
Donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the donor’s choice in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kan. 67401.
