ORDINANCE NO. 3100

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 3.16.080
Convention and tourism committee established — Terms
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ELLSWORTH, KANSAS. 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ELLSWORTH, KANSAS:
A convention and tourism committee is established to advise the governing body and make recommendations concerning programs and expenditures for conventions and tourism. 
The Committee shall be chaired by the Director of the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce as an ex officio member, and consist of five members appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city council. The current members of the committee shall continue to serve in their current terms, and at the expiration of the terms their successors shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the council for terms of two years.
Any vacancies in the membership of the committee shall be filled by the appointment of a new member in the same manner as an original appointment, to fill the unexpired term of the member whose office is vacant.
