DORRANCE — The Dorrance Fire Department will gladly accept help during emergencies, but it doesn’t want citizens to find themselves trapped in the process. That was one of the key points at a meeting Saturday outlining how a repeat of the March 6 fire at Wilson Lake could be avoided.

The meeting site, American Legion Post 334 in Dorrance, was announced as the official recuperation area. With ample room and facilities, it will be where relief is provided when multiple agencies need to respond to an incident. A copy of guidelines for site operations will remain there and will include authorization for supplies at Wilson and Russell.
