Fiesta Fun

Father Dan Scheetz, a former parish priest at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Kanopolis, left, was one of the first in line to receive a plate of Mexican food Saturday during the annual Fiesta at the church. Over 300 people were served. The Fiesta is a fund raiser for the church.

Redskin Jr. High football season off to a good start

Little River’s Jr. High Redskin football team traveled to Goessel Sept. 10 and notched its second victory of the season. Suffocating defense and efficient offense claimed the formula for victory. The first Redskin touchdown came on a 20-yard run by Graham Stephens. Jacob Nelson converted the two-point play and the Redskins led 8-0.
