The City of Wilson receives Federal Transit Administration (FTA) operating dollars.  This funding is utilized for the purchase of fuel, insurance, equipment maintenance and storage. Ellsworth County Council on Aging, Inc., Public Transportation Agency is submitting an application for operating assistance for transportation under the U.S.C. (rural public transportation) of the Federal Transit Act.  The application will be for operating funds to help provide transportation services in the area.  Written comments and questions in regards to this application are encouraged and will be accepted until October 26, 2018 and should be sent to Virginia L. In adopting the 2019 budget the governing body voted to increase property taxes in an amount greater than the amount levied for the 2018 budget, adjusted by the 2017 CPI for all urban consumers. Eight (8) members voted in favor of the budget and 0 members voted against the budget.

NOTICE TO H&B COMMUNICATIONS  
TELEPHONE CUSTOMERS

Beginning October 2, 2018, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will increase the Federal Universal Service Charge (FUSC) from 17.9%  to 20.1% on your monthly Interstate Access Charges.
The FUSC surcharge factor recovers the costs associated with H&B Communications contributions to the Federal Universal Fund program.  This government mandated program is designed to help keep local telephone service rates affordable for all customers in all areas of the United States.
