STATEMENT OF NONDISCRIMINATION

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity (including gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA (not all bases apply to all programs). City of Ellsworth vacating alley in Block 26 in Blake's Addition

ORDINANCE NO. 3069

BEING AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ALLEY
BETWEEN LOTS THREE, FOUR, FIVE AND SIX
IN BLOCK 26, BLAKE’S ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF ELLSWORTH, KANSAS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ELLSWORTH, KANSAS
That pursuant to K.S.A. 13-443 the City of Ellsworth has the power to vacate an alley within the city boundaries whenever the city council deems the same necessary.
Furthermore, it is necessary and in the best interest of the City to officially vacate the alley between Lots 3 and 4 and Lots 5 and 6 in Block 26, Blake’s Addition to the City of Ellsworth, Kansas, and therefore the City orders the same be vacated in its entirety.

CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 03-2016

A CHARTER ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 02-2016 RELATING TO THE ELECTION AND APPOINTMENT OF CITY OFFICERS AND TERMS OF OFFICERS AND TRANSITIONING THE TERMS OF OFFICE FOR THE GOVERNING BODY

WHEREAS, Wilson City Charter Ordinance No. 02-2016 does not expressly state whether the City’s election will be partisan or non-partisan.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF WILSON, KANSAS:
Section 1. Section 3 of Charter Ordinance 02-2016 shall be amended as follows:
    Section 3. The governing body shall consist
    of a mayor and five (5) council members. There

Ellsworth County Resolution regarding commercial trucks

RESOLUTION NO. 2016-R-06
(A Resolution Revising And Updating
Charter Resolution No. 89-2)

WHEREAS it has been determined by the Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners that commercial trucks, and other commercial motor vehicles use blacktop roadways under the jurisdiction and control of the Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS roadways under the jurisdiction and control of the Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners are not roadways compatible with the normal and safe movement of such commercial trucks, and other commercial motor vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 8-1912(c), the Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners resolve as follows:

The City of Ellsworth Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday May 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 121 W. 1st Street, Ellsworth, Kansas to consider granting a variance in a Residential – 1 (R-1) District; Lot Coverage greater than 30% of property and Setback Requirements for less than the 25’ minimum for front and back setback requirements.

SECTION 1. AUTHORITY TO TOW OR IMPOUND WITHOUT NOTICE TO OWNER.
Any police officer is authorized to have removed and towed away by commercial towing service to an impound lot or other safe place designated by the city, without notice to the owner or lawful custodian of such vehicle, all vehicles found under any of the following circumstances:
