The top ranked, two-time defending 2A champion Lady Oilers defeated Central Prairie League Rival Ness City 70-36 Thursday at the BCC Hilltop Hoops Classic girls’ basketball tournament in Great Bend.

Kylee Kasselman seemed to be unstoppable beneath the rim in the third quarter and scored 18 points in the win.

The Lady Oilers, currently undefeated at 11-0 for the season, will play a good Word of Life Academy team in the championship game at 8:15 p.m. at Barton Community College.

The undefeated Lady Fire team (10-0) has a lot of height, good shooting skills and can defend beneath the rim as they defeated fifth-ranked 2A Moundridge, 47-42, in the semi-final game Thursday.
