Smoky Hill EAA Chapter #1127 hosts Young Eagle Day at the Ellsworth Airport. Young people ages 8-17 are welcome to experience a demonstration flight in an airplane free of charge. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. in the airport hangar. Each Young Eagle flight will be flown by a licensed, experienced volunteer pilot representing the Smoky Hill EAA Chapter. Youth must have a signed permission form from their parent/guardian. Forms are available from chapter members or may be filled out the day of the event. Rain date is set for Nov. 8.
