Grain prices mixed for the week Prices paid for grain at the Ellsworth Co-op at the end of the business day Monday, Nov. 6, were:
Wheat, bu. — $5.96, up 11 cents from Oct. 30 Milo, bu. — $4.97, down 1 cent Soybeans, bu. — $12.94, up 76 cents Corn, bu. — $4.72, down 1 cent The co-op has locations in Ellsworth, Black Wolf, Farhman, Hitschmann, Holyrood and Kanopolis.
Ellsworth plans cleanup for seniors The City of Ellsworth, in collaboration with dedicated volunteer groups, will conduct a special community cleanup event for senior citizens Saturday, Nov. 11.
The cleanup event will assist senior citizens 65 and older who live within the city limits of Ellsworth with various tasks, including tree mitigation and removal, property cleanup and mitigation, debris and refuse removal and other cleanup tasks as needed.
If you are a senior citizen or if you know a senior citizen who could benefit from these services, please contact the City of Ellsworth at utilities@ellsworthks. net or call (785) 472-5566 to register and provide details about the cleanup assistance needed.
The City of Ellsworth is seeking volunteers to assist with these cleanup efforts. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please contact Ellsworth City Administrator Dustin Stambaugh at (785) 472-5566 or dstambaugh@ellsworthks.net to join the team.
During the cleanup, the safety and well-being of community members is of utmost importance. All volunteers will follow safety guidelines and use appropriate equipment to ensure a safe and effective cleanup.
PYW-FCE Soup feed in Dorrance The Dorrance PYW-FCE unit is holding its annual soup feed from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Dorrance Community Shop Building.
Homemade chicken and noodle soup, chili soup, ham and bean soup, vegetable beef soup, sandwiches, pies and drinks will be served.
