Through the generosity of supporters of the arts, the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, the City of Ellsworth and the transient guest tax, the Ellsworth Arts Gallery will be expanding and rebranding in the New Year.

The gallery’s focus for 2024 is to develop its mission statement — to encourage artistic awareness and enjoyment of the arts — namely through the funding of diverse exhibits, art classes, events and community projects.

The first exhibit of the New Year promises to be a unique harmonious blend of words and visuals. Poetry, Art & Jazz showcases a collaboration between poets and artists, open Jan. 8-26.

The public is invited to join the Ellsworth Arts Gallery for two special events from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 13 and 20. These evening events will feature poetry reading, an eclectic range of art mediums and live jazz piano by Scott Williams. Come and experience an immersive celebration of artistic diversity and toast in the New Year.

Tickets for Poetry, Art & Jazz Night are available for $25 general admission or $20 for members.
