Kansas all-state infielder signs with Spartan softball

Creston, Iowa — Emma Moore, Ellsworth Jr./Sr. High School May graduate and two-year all-state softball selection, has signed a national letter of intent to play softball for the Spartans of Southwestern Community College.

According to Spartan Head Softball coach Danny Jensen, Moore is an outstanding infielder who has played second base, shortstop, third base and pitcher. He said Moore will be an excellent on-the-field leader, giving his team great depth at multiple positions.

“Emma has a great glove, superb mobility and a strong arm,” Jensen said.“She has great instincts on the field and an impressive softball IQ.”

In addition to being an all-state selection, Moore is a four-year varsity letter winner in softball, as well as a three-year varsity letter winner in basketball.

Academically, she is a member of the National Honor Society, earned high honor roll for four years and achieved the Dean’s Honor Roll at Salina Area Technical College.

Moore is the daughter of Katie and Jason McWilliams and the late Donnie Moore.
