Gerald “Gerry” C. Gebhardt Jr. passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024. He was born on Nov. 5, 1943, in Clay Center, Kan., to Gerald C. “Jack” Gebhardt, Sr. and Clara (Mitchell) Gebhardt. Gerry grew up in Wheaton, Kan., graduating from Wheaton High School in 1961.Gerry earned his B.S.

Sondra Renee Bell, born Oct. 24, 1976, age 47, passed away May 28, 2024, doing what she loved, helping on the farm and ranch. She was the youngest of four daughters to Larry and Sharon Dohe.She graduated high school from Sylvan Grove in 1995.

Berniece Ruby (Steinle) Olejniczak passed away on June 18, 2024, at Medicalodges, Great Bend, Kan. She was born Jan. 3, 1938, on the family farm in Russell County. The daughter of Sam and Ruth Steinle, Berniece was the eldest of three children.

Arthur Ray Breneman, 80, of Hedville, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024. He was born in Salina to Louis R. and Maxine (Baker) Breneman. He married Karolyn Akers on Jan. 31, 1965. He graduated Culver High School, was in the Army Reserve and worked at Co-op in Culver and Salina.

Vonda Lea (Kroboth) Weems passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024. She was born on the first day of wheat harvest, June 28, 1938, in Sylvan Grove, Kan., to Louis and Ruby Fae (Holman) Kroboth.She graduated from Durango (Colorado) High School in 1956 and attended Fort Lewis A&M, Durango.

Richard “Dick” Janssen, 83, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at his home near Ellsworth, Kan. He was born Sept. 26, 1940, in Ellsworth to Herschel “Pete” Janssen and Marian (Craig) Janssen. Dick was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth County.He earned his B.S.

Steven D. Dye was born March 28, 1950, to Edward Neil Dye and Mildred Grace Dye in Iola, Kan. He had a full life filled with love for Jesus, family and friends. He loved his career of teaching information systems and business classes at community college and having his own computer business at home.

Carla Jean Dobosz, 72, of Geneseo, Kan., passed away June 10, 2024, at her home. She was born May 22, 1952, in McPherson, Kan., the daughter of Charles Edgar and Patricia Jane (Myers) Bishop. Carla was a lifelong Geneseo resident. She graduated from Geneseo High School with the class of 1970.

Jean Marie “Jeanie” Boeken, 76, passed away peacefully Monday, June 3, 2024, in Wilson, Kan. She was born July 28, 1947, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Dallas and Margaret Mary (Burrows) Boeken, both lifetime residents of Holyrood, Kan.Jeanie graduated from Holyrood High School, class of 1965.

Jeannie (Meador) Thrasher passed away peacefully in Wilson, Kan., on Feb. 8, 2024, at the age of 76. She was born on April 3, 1947, in Anthony, Kan., to Warren and Marcy (Vancyoc) Meador.  A graveside celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11 a.m.
