Eleanor G. Bach, 94, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in Manhattan, Kan. She was born, the youngest of nine children, June 2, 1929, in Ellsworth, Kan., to W.E. and Grace (Allen) Sheridan, who were raised in the Dust Bowl days of Kansas.

Longtime Homer, Alaska, resident Darlene L. Sheldon, 84, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at South Peninsula Hospital, Homer.Services will be held at the Homer American Legion with the time and date to be announced.Darlene was born May 4, 1939, in Ellsworth, Kan.

Wayne W. Schultz, 74, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, in Kansas City, Mo. He was born Aug. 11, 1949, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Alfred and Madonna (Lyne) Schultz.

Dolores Jacqueline “Peachie” Schmidt, Wilson, Kan., passed away Dec. 21, 2023, in Hays, Kan., at the age of 99. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Damar, Kan. Online condolences and full obituary at www.plumeroverlease.com. 

Becky Lenae Bailey, 58, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her home outside of Ellsworth, Kan. She was born Aug. 14, 1965, in Ellsworth to Jimmy Joe Morris and Karen (Rollet) Petty. Becky married John Bailey in Kanopolis, Kan., on July 14, 1985.

Lloyd William Kottman, 75, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, in Ellsworth, Kan. He was born Nov. 20, 1948, in Ellsworth to John and Merne (Hunter) Kottman. Lloyd was a lifetime resident of the Ellsworth area where he was a farmer and rancher. He married Carol Lyne in Ellsworth on Dec. 30, 1972.

Reta Gaynell Brouillette passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on Aug. 5, 1948, to George and Mildred Egbert in Dodge City, Kan.  Reta obtained her teaching degree from Fort Hays State University.

Burl E. Brooks, 79, of Girard, Kan., died at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in the Girard Medical Center, Girard.Burl was born Dec. 4, 1944, in Pritchett, Colo., a son of George and Arthenia (Hardy) Brooks.

Brian M. Pancake, 65, of Salina, Kan., passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on Oct. 8, 1958, in Salina, to Gerald and Albina (Zvolanek) Pancake.Brian worked for many years for Systems 4, R&R Plumbing and Heating and Pavers Construction.

Lenette Lucille Moyer Kottas, 85, of Harper, Kan., passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024. Lenette was born June 19, 1938, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Harrison and Frieda Moyer, one of four siblings. She graduated from Ellsworth High School and completed some college.
