Ida Mae Dlabal, 104, passed on to her eternal resting place, Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, in Ellsworth, Kan. She was born on Dec. 29, 1920, to Edward and Josephine (Svoboda) Vlcek in Ellsworth, Kan. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1938. On Jan. 13, 1942, she was united in marriage to Stephen S.

Judith “Judy” Ann Brown Gebhardt, 81, of Kanopolis, Kan., passed away July 27, 2025, in Salina, Kan. She was born Sept. 21, 1943, in Wichita, Kan., to James K. Brown and Clara A. (Rogers) Brown.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dwight A. Fruechting, 89, of Clarksville, Tenn., at his home, surrounded by family on July 19, 2025, following a long battle with vascular dementia.

Beverly Jean Stroede of Kanopolis, Kan., passed away peacefully July 3, 2025, in Overland Park, Kan., at the age of 71. Beverly was born on March 27, 1954, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Virginia (Forrest) and Jack D. Avis.Beverly graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1972.

David W. Siemsen, 57, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in Salina, Kan. He was born Aug. 10, 1967, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Helmer and Verona (Peterman) Siemsen. He was a graduate of Ellsworth High School in 1985. David married Carmen Perez in Ellsworth on July 9, 1988.

Kristy Ann Foster (Pickett), 45, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Wichita, Kan., surrounded by her family.Kristy was born on May 20, 1980, to Thomas and Linda Pickett. She was the youngest of their three girls.

Lawanda Mae (Durr) Frees, 94, passed away June 30, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kan. She was born May 20, 1931, to Leonard and Leona (Schroeder) Durr, in Ellsworth County on the family farm near Holyrood, Kan.

Jeremiah Paul Gray Wells, 43, left this world on June 23, 2025. He was born Jan. 26, 1982, in Tulsa, Okla. Jeremiah was a graduate of Ellsworth High School, Class of 2001. After high school he attended Barton County Community College and worked at Ellsworth Correctional Facility.

Connie Jean (Anschutz) Dickinson, 67, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Hutchinson, Kan. She was born Dec. 22, 1957, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Dale and Mabel (Choitz) Anschutz. Connie married Will E. Dickinson, Jr. in Ellsworth on Nov.

Linda Marie Weber, a devoted educator, musician and lifelong learner, passed away on June 1, 2025, at her home in Wilson, Kan., at the age of 81. She was born on Sept. 16, 1943, to Frank George and Marie Josephine (Janda) Vopat in Ellsworth, Kan.
