The Caring Families Foundation conducts the annual Ellsworth County Community Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. at the Ellsworth Health & Recreation Department T-ball fields. Age groups are 0-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 7 and older.

The Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department serves their annual all-you-can-eat pancake feed from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Ellsworth American Legion, 645 W. 15th St. Menu includes pancakes, sausage and eggs. Freewill donation. The public is invited.

When Amelia Fosdick of Ellsworth decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day at The Garage Automotive Museum in Salina, she had no idea she’d end the night by acquiring a new addition to her family.

Christie, the Kanopolis Drive-In’s old projector, is removed from the projection room Monday afternoon. The projector was deemed unrepairable in October, and a new projector will be installed this week. KAREN BONAR/Ellsworth County Independent-Reporter

KANOPOLIS — Carefully, four men hoisted Christie off of her stand. The pallbearers took her out of the projection room at the Kanopolis Drive-In and nestled her in a temporary resting place, on a bed of rocks on the north side of the concession stand.
