Students, teachers and staff of the Ellsworth-Kanopolis-Genseo USD 327 school district and the Central Plains USD 112 school district have no school today because of Labor Day

- Independent Reporter Closed/

The IndependentReporter office is closed today for the Labor Day holiday. The office will re-open at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6.

The St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Kanopolis hosts the annual Fiesta beginning at 11 a.m. with Mexican food served in the church basement or available for takeout until 3 p.m. Hamburgers and homemade pie will also be available. Mass is at 4 p.m.
