Arensman donates grant to historical society

Thanks to the generosity of Sue Arensman of Ellsworth, the Ellsworth County Historical Society is now $2,500 closer to their goal of renovating the Hodgden House Museum in Ellsworth.

Arensman donated a $2,500 grant she received from the America’s Farmers Grow Communities Program, sponsored by the Bayer Fund, to the historical society.

“It’s great to be able to give something back to our community,” Arensman said Friday morning in an interview with the Independent-Reporter.“I know the museum always needs money, so I am happy to give it to them.”
