FFA to raise dollars for cancer research
“Goat Outta Here Cancer” is the theme of Pink Out Week at Ellsworth Junior/Senior High School the week of Sept. 30-Oct. 4. Five Ellsworth businesses, with sponsorships from school groups, will offer five baskets for bid — one each day of the week. Pink Out t-shirts are available at the high school for $10. The goal is to raise $1,000. Supporters also are encouraging Bearcat fans to wear pink Oct. 4. Planned that night is a faceoff between Mr. Cravens and Mrs. Vague. Whoever has more money donated in their name has agreed to kiss a goat at half time of the varsity football game. Private donations are welcome. The event is sponsored by the Ellsworth FFA. Basket sponsors are the math department, FFA, STUCO, NHS, art club, I Club, volleyball and choir.
