County buys Ready Mix plant
At Monday’s meeting of the Ellsworth County commission, approval was given to purchase the former Ellsworth Ready Mix plant for $100,000 from Lisa Kijowski.
The closing on the property will be Dec. 1. The action came after a 15-minute executive session with county attorney Paul J. Kasper to discuss matters pertaining to attorney-client privilege, specifically, contracts.
Commissioners agreed to $75,000 of the funds for the purchase coming from the county building fund and $25,000 coming from the road and bridge department.
The road and bridge department is involved because it will use the property for storage.
