Dorrance Homemakers

Dorrance Homemakers met Oct. 8 at Woelks Expresso in Russell. Members recited the Flag Salute and KAFCE Creed. Roll call was answered by Joyce Langhofer with a joke, exercising 60 hours and 40 minutes of exercise and her favorite game is Dominoes. Alison Voos gave joke, 40 hours exercise and favorite game of Dominoes. The minutes were read by Alison and approved. President Joyce gave report on bills and read communications.

••• Dorrance Homemakers met at Woelks in Russell for the September meeting. The Flag Salute and the KAFCE Creed was recited. Roll call was answered by Joyce Langhofer with a joke, reporting 23 hours exercise and favorite movie, Overcomer; Jan Bachaar answered with a joke, stated walking was her exercise and favorite movie, Wind Talkers; Allison Voos reported 40 hours of exercise, her joke and movie Star Wars. Joyce read three books, Allison 10 and Jan five. Joyce recycled six bags, Allison four. Tabs and coupons were turned in by Joyce, Jan and Allison. For volunteer hours, Joyce reported 24 hours, 40 minutes; Jan 13 hours and Allison three hours. Under unfinished business, FCE dues were signed and the papers were sent in. The next meeting is Oct. 8 at Woelks where Allison will provide the lessons on Everyday Mindfulness. Joyce Langhofer, Reporter

Traveling 12 Card Club

The Traveling 12 Card Club met Sept. 30 at the home of Dorothy Brokes. Winning Hi was Doris Oller, Lo was Alice Killian and getting Traveling was Marilyn Soukup. Those playing pinochle were Myrene Soukup, Jeannie Thrasher, Jan Zamecnik, Margaret Stadelman, Vera Ehrlich, Lucille Janda, Betty Hunter, Betty Heinze and Sherrill Steinle.
