HOLYROOD — After months of speculation and discussion, the Central Plains USD 112 board of education finally targeted Central Plains Middle School in Bushton for closure.

The motion came during an April 30 special board meeting at Central Plains Elementary School in Holyrood.

At the end of the one-hour-and- 47-minute meeting, the board approved a resolution to close CPMS for the 2019-20 school year and beyond.
