The 91st reunion of the descendants of James and Ann (Brown) Bealby was held Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Senior Center in Brookville, Kan. James and Ann emigrated from England circa 1883 and settled near Brookville in Ellsworth County.

The Olson and Hines families were hosts for the reunion. There were 57 people in attendance from Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, and Nebraska. Those attending were:

BEISNER FAMILY: Cliff Vetter, Formoso, Kan.; Dan and Elaine Peters, Randell, Kan.; Don Muir, Moundridge, Kan.; Tyler Andrews, Salina, Kan.; Corinda Muir, Moundridge, Kan.; Jo Muir, Liberty Muir, Alexa Muir, Gabriel Adkins, Zedan Muir, all of Bennington, Kan.

HINES FAMILY: Paul and Carolyn Hines, Larned, Kan.; Richard and Stacy Hines, Larned; Jeff Hines, Salina; Curt Hines, Salina.

SCHULTZE FAMILY: Kim and Connie Moore; Rex and Rita Schultze, Osborne, Kan.; Kendall and Tammy Schultze, Waldo, Kan.

Following a potluck dinner, Nathan Petitjean officiated a Checkers Tournament. There were 16 participants in the tournament with ages ranging from 9 to 82 years young. Jerry Olson, Mike Petitjean, Katrina Hyman and Jared Olson advanced to the final four. Mike Petitjean became the reigning champion after a narrow victory over Jared Olson.

The 92nd reunion and next Checkers Tournament will be held Sunday, June 7, 2020, at the Brookville Senior Center in Brookville hosted by the Petitjean family.
