Malir Family
The 64th annual Malir family reunion was Aug. 11, 2019 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ellsworth. There were 62 members from four branches of the Franz and Anna Malir family attending the potluck meal along with two guests, Pastor Luther Brown and Judy Ruckman, Ellsworth.

From the Marie branch, Richard and Phyllis Stull, Ness City and Marvin and Twylia Sekavec, Brownell.
From the Joe branch, Bill and Lynn Dowling, Hays.
From the Josephine branch, Mark Vopat, Kanopolis; Josh, Ashley, Joshua, Allissa and Aftyn Vopat, Bunker Hill; Charles and Elaine Vopat, Ellsworth; Roger and Kathryn Foran, Ellsworth; Tenton and Caleb Hays, Ellsworth; Jeremy, Nicole, Dallas; and Derek Vopat, Wilson.
From the Annie branch, John, Carol and TJ Kratzer, Dan and Pat Jiricek, Ellsworth; Carmen Hynes Griffin, John and Connie Hynes Long, Salina; Allyson Deaver, Manhattan; Darin, Debbie, Emma, Lee, Helen, Katzel, Mary, Libbie, Birdie, Malir and James Carlin, Osborne; Millie Hynes, Sylvan Grove; Donald Seyfert, Colby Russel, Jennifer, Anne, Rachel and Kent Stukey, Waverly; Tim, Lisa and Meredith Soukup, Lyndon; Craig and Mary Ann Stertz, Lincoln; Linda McClintock, Smolan; Kenneth and Norma Seyfert, Hoisington; Robert and Myrene Soukup, Wilson.
Donald Seyfert came the furthest from Colby. Dan and Pat Jiricek moved back from California.
Reunion business was conducted and games and door prizes were given out.
The youngest attendee was Malir Carlin (22 months). Donald Seyfert was the oldest male and Millie Hynes was the oldest female along with Kenneth and Norma Seyfert being married the longest at 58 years in January.
Next reunion will be Sunday, Aug. 14, 2020 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ellsworth.
