Hansen representative to speak at annual Smoky Hill meeting
The Smoky Hill Development Corporation plans its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in the basement of Ellsworth’s J.H. Robbins Memorial Library.
Speaker will be Betsy Wearing of the Logan-based Dane G. Hansen Foundation.
On the agenda will be a nacho buffet at 6:30 p.m. followed by the speaker, awards and announcements starting at 7.

The mission of the Smoky Hill Development Corporation is “improving the lives of citizens of Ellsworth County through recruitment, retention, and expansion of goods and services offered in Ellsworth County and surrounding areas.”
The organization is funded through memberships from businesses, cities and Ellsworth County.
Board members are Justin Lindsley, president; Leland Francis, vice president; Curt Glaser, treasurer; Debbie Kootz, secretary; and Kyle Gwinner, Jon Halbgewachs, Gerry Gebhardt, Judy Sneath, Peter Solie, Chuck Crawford, members; and students Branson Schulte and Hayden Rogers, honorary board members.
