It’s time to enroll in 4-H
4-H Focus
Midway District had a strong presence in the state fair with 113 entries. Of those entries, one item was selected for display at Rock Springs, five received the Kansas 4-H Foundation Award, one Junior Champion, and two Reserve Junior Champions.
In addition, we had 19 purples, 54 blues, 33 reds, and 5 whites awarded to our district. Good work and congratulations to all of the 2019 Kansas State Fair participants.
Now is the time to start thinking about enrollment for the next 4-H year. In 4-H, we believe in the power of young people. We see that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us. We are America’s largest youth development organization — empowering nearly 6 million young people across the U.S. and over 74,000 youth in Kansas with the skills to lead for a lifetime.
4-Hers can enroll for the 2019-20 4-H year on or after Oct. 1 at:

Another big event of 4-H is National 4-H Week which was Oct. 6-12. Over 6 million young people, 500,000 volunteers and 3,500 4-H professionals celebrate America’s largest youth organization during National 4-H Week. The theme was Inspire Kids to Do!
