Work started this week on the resurfacing and widening of K-140 in Ellsworth and Saline counties. The project begins at the K-14/K-140 intersection in Ellsworth and continues east for about 33 miles to the I-135/K-140 intersection.

Construction is scheduled for Monday through Friday with occasional work during the daylight hours on Saturdays. Traffic will be reduced to one 11-foot lane following a pilot car through the work zone. Drivers should expect a delay of up to 15 minutes.
