Luray Craftique benefits food pantry
The 4th annual Luray Craftique, to benefit the Luray Food Pantry will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at Luray.
This is a non-profit fair, where the only entrance fee for shoppers is a nonperishable food item, or in lieu of a food item, monetary donations will also be accepted.
“The church food pantry appreciates all the donations we got from the 2018 Luray Craftique, and we hope that this continues,” said committee member Carolyn Bigham. “The food pantry greatly helps Luray seniors and young families and widows.”
More than 145 vendors with unique arts, crafts and food items are expected from across Kansas and nearby states. Luray Craftique is one of the larger craft fairs in the state. Throughout downtown buildings and in the newly renovated city park, food vendors will accommodate an expected crowd of more than 2,000 people.
“We have added another commercial tent, plus have expanded the outdoor spaces to accommodate larger trailers and other setups for our vendors. This is a great family event and we welcome you to our small town to experience a really diverse craft fair,” says Luray Craftique committee member Chrissy Mullender.
