Marquette will recognize its 145th anniversary with a big celebration.

The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. July 27 with a pre-celebration in the city park with a freewill supper, the anniversary queen being crowned and a talent show.

The celebration continues at 8 a.m. Aug. 3 with the annual Rodeo Run. A parade begins at 10 a.m. and will feature the 1st Infantry Division Band from Fort Riley and Grand Marshal Vic Hedberg. And tours will be available from noon to 5 p.m. of the historic Hanson-Lindfors property.

Food, games and activities will be available all day in the park.
