Klein recognized for academics
Emma Klein of Ellsworth is among the students at Colby Community College to achieve academic distinction for the spring 2019 semester. She was included on the President’s Honor Roll. To earn a place on a CCC honor roll, students must complete 12 or more credit hours and have no failing grades. The President’s Honor Roll includes those with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Students on the Vice President’s Honor Roll have grade point averages between 3.75 and 3.99.
Local students earn semester honors
Ellsworth County and area students are among the more than 3,800 Kansas State University students earning semester honors for their academic performance in the spring 2019 semester. They are: Ellsworth — Samuel Keener and Janae Schulte. Wilson — Lukas Sebesta. Bushton — Chelsey Bieberle. Brookville — Mika Ptacek, Tristan Ptacek and Collyn Fouard. Students earning a grade point average for the semester of 3.75 or above on at least 12 graded credit hours receive semester honors along with commendations from their deans. The honors also are recorded on their permanent academic records.
KU recognizes students
Three Ellsworth County students were among more than 5,700 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas earning honor roll distinction for the spring 2019 semester. They were: Riann Pruitt, Ellsworth, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Mara Cunningham, Kanopolis, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Isabel Kriley, Wilson, School of Business Honor roll criteria vary among the university’s academic units. Some schools honor the top 10 percent of students enrolled, some establish a minimum gradepoint average, and others raise the minimum GPA for each year students are in school.
KSU grants degrees to area students
A dozen local and area students received degrees from Kansas State University.
