Severe weather and repeated rounds of heavy rain on already saturated ground have caused minor flooding throughout Ellsworth County.

And if the weather forecast holds true, even more rain is expected.

Ellsworth County isn’t alone as much of the state continues to be under some form of a flood alert as near-record rainfall has inundated swollen streams, rivers and even reservoirs. The result has closed roads, and in some locations, forced residents to evacuate ahead of more rain expected during the weekend.
