Charles “Charlie” F. Roehrman (1918-2020)

Charles “Charlie” F. Roehrman, 88, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020, in Ellsworth, Kan. He was born May 21, 1931 in Woodbine, Kan. to Arnold and Vivian (Livingood) Roehrman.

Charlie grew up in Woodbine where he worked for the Woodbine Highway Department before graduating high school. He married Joan Farres in Woodbine, June 26, 1952. Charlie served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He also worked for the Junction City Highway Department and Klema’s Grocery in Herington, Kan. before purchasing the grocery store in Kanopolis, Kan. in 1956. He was a member of the Kanopolis United Methodist Church, Kanopolis Lions Club, and the Kanopolis Volunteer Fire Department.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Joan of Kanopolis; son, Rick Roehrman (Ellen) of Woodland Park, Colo.; daughter, Lisa Rohr (Wayne) of Manhattan, Kan.; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Roehrman of Cheyenne, Wyo. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Mark Roehrman.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 4, in Kanopolis.
