The photo of the Rogers family, which appears below this space, is representative of the stories you will find in this week’s edition of the I-R. Son Hayden, a student at Ellsworth High School, was named Junior Citizen of the Year this past weekend by the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce.

On Page A1 is a photo of John and Judy Sherman. He was named Citizen of the Year. The Ellsworth FFA chapter received recognition as the chamber’s Organization of the Year.

And, if that isn’t enough, the I-R’s annual conservation section is also part of this week’s edition. The stories of the 2019 winners are especially interesting — in particular the pride they show in being a part of Ellsworth County’s past and present.
