The facts about Delta

By

Good Afternoon,

Linda, As you know, Dennis

As you know, Dennis Rolf invited me to be present at the county commissioner’s meeting this morning, Monday Sept. 13, 2021. This was huge for me to do as it was my first appearance in public and in a small room with others since I almost died from Covid last fall. Of note, Dr. Whitmer, Kerianne and I were the only ones to wear a mask. That fact is significant, to say the least.

Unfortunately, another individual in the audience hijacked what I wanted to say, thus instigating an argumentative situation and subsequent silence in speaking what I knew were the key notes as far as the Delta variant is concerned. My key points are as

My key points are as follows: thus far the Delta variant is more virulent, and way easier to catch if an individual should happen to cough, sneeze, or sing near others. Everyone is at risk for getting the Delta variant, and that includes children and babies. If you have had Covid, or are immunized, your chances of living and having a less severe case is much higher, than those who are not vaccinated.

Antibodies against Covid are a good thing. When Dr. Whitmer got up to leave the meeting, he directly voiced to me, “Thank you”. That is validation that what I’ve written in this paragraph is true!

Delta is killing more people, and I don’t think that we really should be “culling” the human race. People have the right to not wear a mask, they do not have the right to potentially get others sick simply because they feel it is their right to not wear a mask. Sadly, for those who feel it is their right to be mask-less and potentially make another person or child sick, it appears to me that this community has to have a child almost die or die of Covid before they wake up to reality. I advocate for all children and babies — it is what I do. I teach the public — it is what I do. Sadly, no one can teach the individuals who fall into the “unteachable” category.

Yours,

Mary L. Schmidt
