Iwould like to take this time we have together to briefly review what we have at the library that maybe you didn’t know, or, if you’re like me, forgot.

First, cake pans, but not only cake pans — we also have candy molds, cookie cutters and even an electric balloon pump. The pump is great if you have a bunch of balloons to blow up for a party; I would know, as I used it last summer and it saved me a lot of time and a headache.

Second, games. If you didn’t know, we have outdoor games you can check out — croquet, bocce ball, Spike Battle Ball, cornhole, rollers and ladder toss. We also have walking poles and Frisbee golf equipment. I know it’s still a little cold for these games, at least for me it is, but this way you can be planning for those beautiful days to come.

Third, and this is a new one, we have a heavy-duty paper shredder that will cross-cut 24 sheets at a time, can run for 40 minutes and holds around nine gallons. It is available for the public to use here at the library. We are hoping this is something that will help many people dispose of confidential papers.

Fourth, we have a 45-cup coffee pot that can be checked out for family reunions or other events.

Fifth, we have a new walking program that just started. It is a come-if-you-want kind of program on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. or noon, whichever works for you or both. We do a walking workout in the community room to a variety of YouTube videos. They usually last around 20 minutes and are a lot of fun. Come give it a try; if it’s not for you, that’s OK, we totally understand that. And if you just want to walk and move to the music, we are OK with that too.

Plus, don’t forget, movies are the first Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m. Book Club is the third Thursday of the month at 10:30 a.m. Reset Your Mind/For Your Health is Mondays at 5:15 p.m. and yoga is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15 p.m.

Phew, that was a lot! We would love to see you all. Come see us, if for nothing else than to get a book! Ha ha! Happy reading!
