Dear Editor:

This Veterans Day, I’d like to take a moment to talk with the Reservists and National Guard members out there.

As recent conflicts have shown, these service members are just as important as the active duty service members and, as I recently found out, BOTH are eligible for membership in the American Legion.

As the membership coordinator at our Ellsworth post, I would invite any and all Veterans, including our Reservist and National Guard family, to join American Legion Post 174 at one of our regular meetings. We have a small social gathering at 6:30 p.m., followed by our meeting at 7. If you need more information, message us on our Facebook page or call/text me personally at (785) 810-8291.

Come join your fellow Veterans and see what the Legion can do for you ... and what YOU can do for the Legion.
