In regards to the comments made in the paper about COVID-19 being just like the flu, I have never made such a comment nor will I ever make such a ridiculous comment. I did not have a mild case of COVID variant but did have COVID in Oct. 2020. I had 10 days of high fever and two trips to the emergency room. In December 2020 I spent five days in the hospital for blood clots.

My comment that lets use common sense was in reference to face mask mandates in our schools. Specifically, not to require them when students were outside.
