Thank you

By

As the snow slowly begins to melt, we wish to extend an overdue thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly during last week’s snowstorm.

We saw many law enforcement officers on the news and sharing traffic information. Their contributions were invaluable, and we are grateful.

Yet, we cannot forget the plethora of others who supported motorists and residents during the intense storm.

Our EMS and fire teams were on the roads, offering assistance. The local police departments definitely stepped it up to help stranded motorists. Let’s be sure to remember hospital staff, who were on call to assist with emergencies.

Perhaps another unsung job during the snowstorm is those who were working at our gas stations and convenience stores, especially along the interstate and state highways. And finally, we cannot forget to acknowledge the hard work of our farmers and ranchers. Their job certainly doesn’t end when the snow begins. Karen Bonar Publisher
