We enthusiastically agree with Dorothy: There’s no place like home. For several months, the building where the I-R calls home has been on the city council agenda for concerns over building codes.

We fully support the city’s effort to ensure safe, quality housing and businesses ... but we also didn’t want to move. Perhaps your moving experiences are more blissful than mine have been. Or not.

Thankfully, our landlords have hired a contractor, presented a proposal and the Ellsworth City Council approved an extension for our building until September.

We appreciate our city staff, council and attorney, who have helped navigate this process.

Our home on Ellsworth’s “main street” downtown is one we treasure, and we’re glad it looks like a longterm solution has been reached.
