Welcome to our annual Progress Edition! The I-R staff likes to pause once a year to take a look at what’s going on in our county. Over time, changes happen, but sometimes it’s easy to overlook them.

In the Progress Edition, we like to use it as an opportunity to look around and see what stories we haven’t had the chance to tell. And then we tell them.

Sometimes, we’re celebrating the decades of success for an established business. Other times, we see our long-established companies freshening up or taking a new approach to the work they do.

When we work on this edition, it’s impossible to fit all of the stories into one place. Over the next few weeks you might notice additional stories that could fit under the Progress Edition umbrella ... and you would be correct. We are here to tell those stories now, but as a community newspaper, we continue to document the progress each week as part of our legacy.
