Beyond books
Once again, J.H. Robbins Memorial Library continues to provide for the community. This time, it comes in the form of seeds.
Yes, it’s wintry, cold and we still see patches of snow on the ground, but if you’re like me, you’re thinking of warmer days and abundant gardens.
The library is absolutely the home of books and magazines in our community, but we shouldn’t put them on that shelf and leave them there. We applaud the library and its staff for continuing to seek ways to serve the community, even if it’s beyond the printed word. Especially when it’s beyond the written word.
Our lives are robust and full and there is every reason the library should and could be able to contribute to them. This can range from the yard games available to check out to a plethora of cake pans. The library doesn’t have to be one single thing. It can be, and is, more. Karen Bonar Publisher
