Unity?

Thank you to all the USD 112 School Board members and study groups, a lot of time is spent on this.

That being said, I beg to differ that all board members should vote the same for a show of unity. Each member represents a different group of people that may not feel the same way about a given subject, I think they have to make a judgment call about what their constituents want, what’s best for the district and vote accordingly. That all members must vote alike is just an argument to sway votes.

Living in Wilson I support our board members vote but, of course, respect the decision of the majority.

Thanks,

Chuck Crawford Wilson

Don’t spread misinformation

Dear Editor,

I wonder if your Sen. Marshall forgot to take the Hippocratic Oath when he became a doctor?

One of the pillars of the oath is “above all, do no harm.”

This doesn’t jibe with the good senator’s spreading misinformation about the benefit of wearing a mask to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Of course, he can always say, “Well, I’m a senator now and not a doctor, so the oath doesn’t apply.”
