Vote, comments were hurtful Dear Ms. Doty, My name is Jennifer Kepka and I live in Wilson with my husband, Dr. Dennis Kepka. I am a retired RN and I would like to comment on your statement that was highlighted in this week’s newspaper about the school situation.
Your words — irritating, so willing to lose your high school, end of the world, hurtful.
I honestly thought you must surely be the drama coach for the school, but no, you are the president of the USD 112 school system.
Closing our school is much more than irritating to the parents, kids and people of Wilson, Kan. Our little town is filled with great people, great neighbors, businesses, great kids, teachers, sports activities, etc.
We are not in any way willing to lose our high school. This isn’t a game — this is the future of our children and our community. Have you been to a Dragon ball game? We show up, we support our kids, we are amazed at the work they do to get better and better!
End of the world. Really, does it require a comment? You use the term hurtful. Ma’am, you have no idea what hurtful would mean for us to lose our school.
Most sincerely, Jennifer Kepka Wilson
