I was intrigued with the article about Alice Peterka in the May 4 edition of the Indy-Reporter. While I do not personally know her, to realize she was a dedicated educator at Wilson Jr./Sr. High School for 54 consecutive years was a remarkable achievement. I would like to know more about her and the impact she has had on students and parents over her substantial tenure.
Since the May 4 article in the paper did not include any positive remarks regarding her personal qualities and characteristics, I am asking those who have been impacted by her to share some of your thoughts and experiences of her so that I can better understand her dedication and legacy for her commitment to educating our county’s youth.
If you are inclined to respond, please send a letter to the Indy-Reporter. Perhaps we could all learn how to be more like Alice.
Thank you, Roger Pearson Ellsworth
